"I'm Going to Disney World!"

Socializing and fun is a big part of why we love this HEMA family, and every day there will be something fun to do at Longpoint South.

So grab a friend, grab a sword, don your Mickey ears, and get ready for a good time!

Welcome Happy Hour at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar

Thursday afternoon, join us for a drink and food at a little joint in Disney Springs run by Indiana Jones' sidekick and pilot.

Come see all the HEMA friends you've been missing, kick back, and visit a while.  While you're at here, you can skip the long line at "too early o'clock" by checking in early for Longpoint South.

Happy Hour specials will be available. Parking is free, and Disney Springs is accessible by Disney Transportation for anyone staying on Disney Property.

Adventure around the Lagoon - Photo Scavenger Hunt

For all the pirates and vikings at heart, get ready to raid the Seven Seas Lagoon! Or at least the surrounding bars. Friday night after the competition is done, we will start at the Disney Transportation Hub for a  ride the monorail around the lagoon to as many suggested (or not) watering holes as you desire. (Stay out of the lakes! There be gators!) Follow the scavenger hunt treasure map clues to earn points by posting photo on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with #LPS17. Bonus points for selfies with hidden Mickeys! The team with the most points gets bragging rights and a super, awesome bag o' fun prizes! Meet up at the Polynesian Resort to witness a spectacularly evil end to the evening at 10:15 P.M.  This is a family-friendly event.

Awards Dinner and Fireworks at Disney's Contemporary Resort

Attend a HEMA Awards Dinner like no other! Following the ESPN Live finals, join us at Disney's Contemporary Resort Convention Center for a private view of Happily Ever After -- WDW's new fireworks display -- at 9 P.M. After fireworks, sit down for a gourmet dinner and presentation of prizes. Featuring flavors from South America presented with a Disney flair, it's a dinner not to be missed. Plus, y'know, people will be taking home some nice prizes. Cash bar will be available starting at 8:45 P.M. for fireworks and last through dinner.

We recommend wearing "date night" clothing for the awards dinner. We'd like it to mean something like a button up shirt and nice jeans, or maybe even a suit or a dress. But hey, it's Florida, so shirts and shoes are considered dress-up.  If you go on dates in jorts and a three wolves t-shirt, so be it.  If you feel the need to Disneybound, wear your Halloween costume, sport Mickey or Minnie ears, or get out your retro "Dapper Day" attire, have at. It's Disney!  Our only request is that you shower before dinner (for those who fought in the finals, we might make an exception, too).

Sunday Fun-Day at the Parks

"I want adventure in the great wide somewhere!"

Get together with your HEMA friends, pick a park (or two, or three) and go forth and explore all that Walt Disney World has to offer!

Mickey's Not-So Scary Halloween Party

The witching hour’s almost here, so get your favorite costume ready for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a separately ticketed event in Magic Kingdom park! Available dates are October 26, 27, 29, and 31. Hours are 7:00pm - 12:00AM although admission to the park may start earlier, check to be sure. This is the ONLY time of the year that adults are allowed to attend the park in costume, and some of them are truly amazing!

This is a separately ticketed event, meaning a 1 Day Park Pass WILL NOT enable you to attend. This is a great chance to visit the park just for the evening, dress up in your Halloween costume (be sure to check that it fits the costume guidelines first!) The event is also perfect for families visiting with children, as it is not so scary.

Back again in 2017, it’s the happiest haunting on Earth! Don’t miss your chance to collect candies, sweets and frightfully delightful treats—all while the park hosts grim grinning ghosts, eerie entertainment and Disney Characters that go bump in the night. Trick-or-Treat in the park, meet your favorite villains, watch the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular, and see the coolest Disney parade that only happens one season of the year!

Tickets start at $94 for adults, $89 for 9 and under.
